This week I looked at the flame in the flood . The flame in the flood is a survival game , set in a post flooded area . Players will have to traverse down a river with the aid of their raft and pet dog in search of food and supplies to help them stay alive longer . When i saw the trailer for this game i really wanted to try it out as I found it to look like a quite interesting game . However, I soon discovered that I wasn’t a fan of it . This wasn’t a game I usually choose to play and didn’t enjoy . Let’s start with the raft controls . The raft went in only one direction , the direction of the river . That makes complete sense , of course it would . You could move it left and right and even had a power button to make it . The controls for me seemed alittle unresponsive at times ,. From travelling down the river you would come across areas you were able to dock at and go these areas. All these areas seemed the same to me . There might have been slight differences but on the whole they were the same . I also found that everything i needed to survive i could rarely find . I guess that is the point of the game to see how long you could survive however that is the same reason I tend to stay away from these sorts of games .

Visually the game was brilliant and the soundtrack was fantastic but the game as a whole wasn’t for me . In the interest of fairness though I got 2 people to play this game instead of me that I believed would like this game . My partner Emma and our friend Vicky . They both loved it and thought it was a great game . So don’t let my review put you off , if you like the idea of a game where you have to craft items to try and stay alive with a great soundtrack then this is for you .
