In just 6 weeks time, Impact Wrestling will be embarking on their first tour in almost 7 years.

If you’ve been a long-time follower of TVM then you may recall us talking about this on podcasts at the time (we interviewed Bobby Lashley then attended the 2015 tour, then interviewed James Storm for the 2016 tour and interviewed Trevor Lee and Eddie Edwards during the one-off Impact vs. the UK show in Manchester 2018). This year, we’re going to preview this a little bit differently. Sure, we’ve spoken to Gail Kim, Alex Shelley and Moose about the UK tour already and those interviews can be found on our channel (as well as further down in this article) but this time I’ve taken a different approach (note the intentional switch from “we” to “I”). You see, this year both myself and my 10-year old son Reuben (who also attended the Impact vs UK show in 2018) will be attending the two shows in Coventry at the end of October. Therefore, this list was created due to having a discussion with my 10-year old son as to what he’d want to see on this tour too. So, without further ado, here are five things we want to see on the Impact UK tour in 2023

5. A Selection of Legends from the Impact 1000 Show

At time of writing, we are eagerly awaiting this week’s Impact which is episode 1000 of the long-running wrestling program. Already advertised are legends such as Team 3D, The Beautiful People, Awesome Kong, Gail Kim, Kazarian and Traci Brookes, America’s Most Wanted, Tommy Dreamer, Sharkboy and more. With it being just a few weeks away from the UK tour, we’re hoping to see some at least a few of these legends make an appearance.

4. Kushida challenge for the X-Division Title and Win

At present, Kushida has been chasing the current champion – Lio Rush – for several months now and we’re both hoping that Kushida will not only challenge Rush but pick up the win during the UK tour. Just as a nice little aside, my son became a massive Kushida fan as a result of us watching him during the NJPW show that took place during the “WrestleMediaCon” event that also saw “Impact vs. UK”.

3. The Motorcity Machine Guns in Action

One of my all-time favourite tag teams is the Motorcity Machine Guns. As a long-time fan of TNA/Impact (the first full show I watched was Turning Point in 2004), I have been a major fan of the X-Division and Tag divisions that were both dominated by both Sabin and Shelley (I believe Sabin is now a 9-time champion?) and while Shelley is killing it as the World Champion, I’d still love to see them team up at least once on the weekend’s worth of shows that we’re attending.

2. Moose, Sami, Eddie, Swann, Alexander and more

While we’ve talked about MCMG, Kushida, the legends and more, it’s worth noting that, at present Impact currently has one of the strongest rosters in pro-wrestling featuring the likes of Eddie Edwards, Moose, Deonna Purazzo, Steve Maclin, Bryan Myers, Sami Callihan, Moose, Rich Swann, Eric Young and more. As Impact fans, we’d love to see the current roster represented as much as possible

1. Someone New Elevated to the Main Event

Over the past couple of years we’ve seen Josh Alexander, Moose, Steve Maclin and Alex Shelley become World Champions and be elevated to the Main Event level and it has been majorly refreshing to see this as opposed to other promotions where the same names clog up the title picture. Over on Impact there are guys such as Heath or Bryan Myers who could easily step up to that level so it would be great to see a world title contender that no-one’s seen before i.e. Shelley vs. Heath to headline one of the shows on the UK tour. Speaking of which, we were fortunate enough to speak to Alex Shelley and Gail Kim about this the other week:

We also had the good fortune to be able to speak to Moose about all manner of things including the upcoming tour:
