Thanks to the explosive first trailer for Deadpool and Wolverine as well as some of the “insider reports” we know of a handful of cameos already planned for Deadpool and Wolverine / Deadpool 3. The director has already said that there’s an awful lot of cameos in there so I figured that with only a few months until the film releases, I’d post my wish-list for my most wanted Deadpool and Wolverine cameos

Sabretooth(s)

So with the very first pick on here I’m already cheating and going for a twofer. Sabretooth is the quintessential Wolverine villain and both actors that have previously portrayed him (Tyler Mane and Liev Schreiber) both brought something completely different to the role. Tyler looked the part in “X-Men” given what Victor Creed looked like in the comics towards the end of the 90s and Liev absolutely nailed the ruthlessness of Creed’s character in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”. I love both versions and would love to see either or both of them turn up here.

Jean Grey (Famke Janssen)

Since we’re getting Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine it absolutely makes sense for Famke Janssen’s Jean Grey to put in an appearance considering their screen history and the love triangle that played across the first 3 X-Men movies, speaking of which…

Cyclops (James Marsden)

While he didn’t get that much to do in the X-Men movies, James Marsden absolutely looked and acted the part of Scott Summers aka Cyclops. In an ideal scenario, I’d like to see something akin to the ending of Days of Future Past where Logan sees Jean just to be cut off by Cyke again!

Old Man Logan (Cal Dodd)

As someone born in the mid-80s, Cal Dodd was absolutely the voice of Wolverine for me thanks to the incredible 1992 Animated X-Men series. With Cal reprising the role of Logan for X-Men 97, I’d absolutely love for him to play a variant of Wolverine (as many are reported to be in here) and his gruff, Eastwood-esque voice would be perfect for the “Old Man Logan” version of the character.

DareDevil (Ben Affleck)

Since this film seems to be the swansong of the Fox Marvel movies, throwing a big name cameo like Ben Affleck in there to reprise his role as DareDevil majorly appeals to me. While many people hate on that movie, I was an avid reader of DareDevil at the time (Guardian Devil is hands down one of the greatest story arcs of all-time) and felt that the movie was absolutely representative of that period of DareDevil comics. But yeah, Affleck as DareDevil again? YES PLEASE.

Anyhoo, that’s my most Wanted cameos. Well, a very shortened version of my actual list as I’d love any recurring Fox Marvel movie characters to appear and as a massive fan of all things Marvel, I genuinely can’t wait for this movie to come out.
